Thank you

As we approach year end Connemara Therapeutic Riding would like to acknowledge the following organizations for grants we have received in recent years.
The Hospital Saturday Fund (HSF) who generously provided funds of €13,500 which allowed us to pay for the following in 2022 and 2023.
1. A portacabin – which we use as an office, training room etc.
2. Sensory Trail Stations – we are adding to the trail all the time, our new stations have been most popular and there are now many items of interest for our different clients interests and ages.
3. A new Gate to secure the yard, which has been invaluable in increasing safety, especially with our school groups, younger service users etc.
4. Waterproof Outdoor gear for staff, much needed in our climate!
HSF’s generosity has been hugely important in terms of enhancing the experience and comfort of our service users and staff after re-location to Cleggan Farm.
In a separate donation, HSF also contributed €5,000 towards the cost of our insurance renewal in July 2023. Grant contributions towards operating costs are rare but hugely welcome in order to maintain services on an ongoing basis.
Cashel & Connemara Credit Union
We would like to thank Cashel & Connemara Credit Union for their kind grant of €5,000 received in 2023, as part of their 100th anniversary year.
Thanks to their generosity, we were able to buy lovely and colourful outdoor furniture for the enjoyment of our service users and for new IT equipment for staff. This furniture is made from recycled materials and will withstand our Connemara weather conditions.
It is particularly useful for our school groups and camps.
CEF
Connemara Therapeutic Riding is grateful to Galway County Council, as part of the Community Enhancement Scheme 2022/2023 for their contribution of €1,000 towards insurance costs for the 2022/2023 renewal period, which we received in May 2023. Our insurance is one of our biggest costs so any help towards this cost is greatly appreciated.
Attached are photos of some of the above items.
There are also many other individuals and groups who have raised funds for us and or made donations to us. We would like to thank each and every person who supported us throughout 2023, whether it be by volunteering, assisting with ponies, feed etc., giving us donations, organizing and helping at fundraisers etc. We are trully grateful for all the support we receive, these donations allow us to bridge the gap between our grant and service income and our expenses, thus ensuring CTR continues into the future for the benefit of our service users.
